Meet Our Team

Shelley, Care Coordinator

As a Treatment Coordinator and a certified Expanded Duties Dental Assistant, you’ll see Shelley helping patients in so many different ways when you visit our office. She’s involved in anything and everything from assisting Dr. Shefrin and coordinating treatments to welcoming new patients into our growing dental family. Shelley says she loves what she does because of the total, comprehensive care that every patient receives. She likes being part of a team that takes the extra step to form deep relationships with patients. Shelley always makes time for her husband and two kids, their greyhound, working on home decor, and cheering on the Packers.

Maxine, Registered Dental Hygienist

With over twenty years in the dental industry, Maxine is proud to be a part of a team that values the total well-being of each of their patients. Originally from London, England, Maxine started her career in dentistry soon after arriving in the states. She is constantly educating herself to further her training, and feels that the level of care exhibited by Dr. Shefrin’s practice is above and beyond any she’s ever seen. When Maxine is not in the office, she loves to spend time with her son.

Pam, Registered Dental Hygienist

Pam has spent half of her dental career in this very practice, helping patients to maintain a healthy smile. She loves that Dr. Shefrin puts a strong emphasis on education, and continues to keep both patients and team informed. She spends her time outside of the office with her husband and three adult children.

Leah, Expanded Duties Dental Assistant

After four years working at a multi-doctor office, Leah found a home at Dr. Shefrin’s practice. She’s been a part of our team for two-and-a-half years, bringing her total time in the world of dentistry to over six years. Though she’s learned the most on the job, Leah attended Gwinnett Technical College. She’s always willing to learn something new, which is why she loves assisting Dr. Shefrin. When she’s not next to the dental chair, Leah can be found either on the beach or relaxing with her husband, two children, and their cats.

She’s also responsible for soft tissue management, periodontal maintenance, taking x-rays, CT scans, and photos with the high-tech intraoral camera.
